UMass Dartmouth's commitment to offering students an excellent studio art education includes state-of-the-art classroom and studio spaces in two locations. Many are in CVPA's building on the Dartmouth campus, where students easily access all of the University's facilities. Our exciting new Star Store campus is a recently renovated building in nearby, historic downtown New Bedford. Opened in September 2001, it is a beautifully equipped modern urban arts complex.

Star Store's classrooms and private studios allow students to work in a professional atmosphere. The BFA Painting/2D studies program supports investigation of a variety of visual arts media. Students are encouraged to explore the many disciplines offered by CVPA.

Graduate students are provided with an individual workspace at the Star Store, UMass Dartmouth's new facility in historic downtown New Bedford. The Star Store was converted in 2001 into a modern urban arts complex with spacious studios, galleries, and state-of-the-art equipment. Graduate painting students also have easy access to the University's many facilities at the main campus in Dartmouth.
