MFA Graphic Design Facilities
Most Visual Design studios are located in the CVPA building on the main campus in North Dartmouth. Individual workspace is available to graduate students along with electronic support and access to the CVPA's extensive Visual Resources Center with more than 150,000 archived images.
The CVPA Media Lab--an educational facility designed for computer-based graphic design, digital media, illustration, and photography, and solely for the use of approved students in CVPA--includes up-to-date Macintosh-based workstations and support equipment, including scanners, printers, and software for 3D modeling, animation, web design, image processing, and typography.
The program also houses an analog black and white photographic lab with digital color facilities and a letterpress facility. Beyond that, the CVPA's many other discipline-specific studios and the resources of the University are available.
