Art League Houston (ALH) is pleased to present Connections and Directions, a group exhibition co-curated by established ceramic artist Rebecca Hutchinson and Art League Houston's Visual Arts Director Jennie Ash in conjunction with the National Council on Education for Ceramic Arts (NCECA) Conference. The exhibition features an exciting selection of work by eight emerging US-based artists, all UMass Dartmouth alumni, whose works in ceramic are daring and diverse, and represent a growing expanse of ceramic direction. Artists include Birdie Boone, Dawn Stetzel, Claire Hedden, Colleen Toledano, Ryan Blackwell, Lauren Mayer, David Katz and Matt Ziemke.
Fine Arts graduate student Charity Henderson was selected to have her drawing "Confrontation" exhibited in the Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition Wide Open 4, an annual national juried exhibition, juried by Carrie Springer, Senior Curatorial Assistant at the Whitney Museum of American Art.

Fine Arts graduate student Kat Knutsen won best of show in the Student Exhibition at The Gallery in the Ghosh Center. She won for her oil on canvas, "One of Many Queens."
Photography student Kara Ryan's work "Window" was selected to be part of Undergraduate Photography Now exhibition as part of the 2013 Flash Forward Festival.
2012 2nd annual Design-A-Throw Competition sponsored by Denali and Monterey Mills
Arisanry student Hannah Reidy took 1st place with her Grand Prize winning design "Sea of Dreams".
Pictured here is Hannah with her peers, department faculty and college Deans dispaying Denali's first double-sided, jacquard knit throw (60"X70") ever knit using Hannah's design "Sea of Dreams", which will soon be part of the Denali Home Collection.
