Leslie Macklin received her MFA in ceramics from UMass Dartmouth and her BFA in ceramics from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri. Leslie has over 10 years experience with advanced techniques in handbuilding and wheelthrowing.  She also has spent the past 6 years developing her knowledge in advanced papermaking and bookbinding techniques, including giving a workshop to the students at MIT’s Fab Lab.

In the past, Leslie has taught ceramics and papermaking to all ages and skill levels, lectured in a panel at the International Ceramics Festival in Aberystwyth, Wales, and attended a residency at Red Lodge Clay Center in Red Lodge, Montana. In addition, she exhibits her personal work across the United States including juried shows in Houston, Texas; Tallahassee, FL; Boston, Massachusetts; Manhattan, New York City; and internationally in Essex, England.
