CVPA - Undergraduate Programs - Art History - Learning Opportunities
LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES
The lessons Art History students learn outside their classrooms are equally significant. Together with the members of the Art History faculty, they participate in field trips, museum vists, and behind the scenes activities at notable national museums, galleries, archives, and collections including the New Bedford Whaling Museum; Museum of Art, Rhode Island School of Design; Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; Museum of Modern Art, New York; Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; and Harvard's Fogg Art Museum, among others in the region.

Above is Dr. Holloway’s art history class examining a collection of daguerreotypes and ambrotypes with Michael Lapides, Photo Curator, at the New Bedford Whaling Museum.
