Scope & Content
For many years VRC has supported academic pedagogy through its slide holdings, especially in respect to art and art history instruction. Today, the slide collection consists of approximately 77,000 images with an emphasis on western art and architecture of all periods. The collection also encompasses a large body of non-western cultures including Africa, North America, South America, Asia, and Middle East.

The collection is further sub-categorized by the nationality of the artist (French, Italian, English, German) and surname (Monet, Cariani, Reynolds, Holzel).
Non-Western Art
Non-western collections are arranged by geographically (non-classified) as listed below.

- Asia
- Middle East
