Browse and Access

VRC is one of the largest repositories of digital image content on campus. Our digital holdings have grown to more 35,000 files and continue to expand annually. In 2008, VRC will release a new online image and multimedia database system allowing the UMass Dartmouth community Internet access to VRC digital holdings.

In the meantime, our digital collections are available through the VRC Study Room, located in Group VI, Room 253. Faculty and students may browse through a series of computer thumbnails that are organized by geographic, topic and genre headings. The digital collections represent western and non-western art and cultures from all eras, including modern and contemporary periods.

Circulation

Digital files may be imported/uploaded directly to PowerPoint or copied to a USB/Flash drive or CD-Rom. VRC offers an electronic delivery service that allows faculty to retrieve digital image content from their office desktops. For assistance, please contact the VRC curator at acywin@umassd.edu or 508-999-8701 .
