Services Image Production for Faculty
VRC supports daily classroom instruction through its free digital and analog reproduction and slide conversion services. Digital images may be created from reflective and transparent materials (including x-rays and flat material up to 12x17 in.)
Digital Production - Allow 2 weeks
Image requests take approximately two weeks to complete. Digital image files will be burned to a CD-Rom or delivered electronically via your office desktop.
Please note: The images are high quality and therefore not suitable for WebCT or a faculty web site. Please consult
VRC curator for alternative digital options.
Slide Production - Allow 4 weeks
Slide production is available for the purpose of instruction. Requests are limited to 36 or less images per semester and takes a minimum of four weeks.
Slide Conversion Projects
VRC is pleased to work with faculty to convert their instructional slide collections to digital format. VRC has worked with several professors on such endeavors including Charlotte Hamilin (textiles collection), Andrea Klimt (sociology/anthropology collection), Rebecca Hutchinson (ceramics collection) and Tony Miraglia (fine arts collection). Turn around time for slide conversions depend on the size of collection and its condition.
