Students applying to be Endeavor Scholars should expect a rigorous leadership training program and a significant time commitment to service.
Endeavor Scholars will work with mentors to devise projects that reflect their personal and scholarly interests and passions. These projects will combine appropriate activities that engage with the community and will demonstrate an innovative, integrated approach that emphasizes a high quality experience.
The Endeavor Scholarship is a four-year merit scholarship for new first-year students that pays for tuition, mandatory fees, room and board. The award will be for a total of no more than eight semesters (fall and spring semesters only) and is renewable each year as long as recipients meet all of the following requirements:
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.00 in full-time study (12+ credits per semester)
- Be in good disciplinary standing by adhering to the university’s Code of conduct and exemplifying principles of integrity and civility
- Participate fully in the academic and co-curricular programs and activities associated with the Endeavor Scholars Program
- Apply each year on or before March 1 for need-based financial aid and accept all federal, state, and private grants for which they are eligible
Endeavor Scholars will reside in an on-campus living-learning community with other program participants. The room and board plan offers the standard academic year contract, with double occupancy room and a 14-meal per week plan.
Upgrades from the standard contract for room and board will not be covered by the scholarship.
