NSF CSEMS Scholarship Description:

The College of Engineering at UMass Dartmouth will award National Science Foundation Scholarships to 20 deserving incoming freshmen starting with the Class of 2007.

The Scholarship Package includes:

• $3,000 per year for the first two years (Freshman and Sophomore).
• Additional two years (Junior and Senior) of paid internships at the Advanced Technology and Manufacturing Center or a local company.

Scholarship recipients will be enrolled in the College of Engineering and will be housed together in one of the newly-completed residential buildings on campus. In addition they will become involved in a series of new activities designed exclusively for scholarship recipients. A new seminar series, Career Building Seminars, will complement the program. The series will include presentations by research speakers, inventors, product developers, and career counseling experts, and is designed to help students form a solid link between the classroom and the real world.
