Fiber Based Tissue Engineering

Electrospinning is a process that allows the formation of continuous submicron and nanofibers that can be laid out in controlled patterns to generate scaffolds for tissue engineering. Submicron and nanofibrous scaffolds may be important for wound healing, tissue regeneration as well as drug delivery. Our group is involved in understanding the function of cell-fiber interaction and developing novel fiber based bioengineering applications.
