Program Objectives
- To provide a research-oriented Master's program with diverse research opportunities in a comfortable setting.
- To position graduates to go on to good positions in industry and teaching as well as Ph.D. programs in Physics and related fields at other universities.
- To provide students in Ocean Physics with a path to the Ph.D. program in Oceanography at the School of Marine Science and Technology, a UMass interdepartmental graduate program near the Dartmouth campus.
