All students who intend to apply to the program must attend an eight to 10 hour workshop/seminar. Normally offered as an interactive, non-credit spring semester course, its main goal is to prepare prospective students for effective participation in the Cooperative Education and Internship Program. Students must successfully complete one of the following courses before they can be placed on their first work session:
EGR 905 - Coop/Internship Workshop
EGR 910 - Coop/Internship Seminar
During the workshop/seminar, the nuts and bolts of the program will be discussed. Additional topics include interviewing, portfolios, professionalism, benefits of Cooperative Education and Internships, etc.
