The Women's Center
is located in the Campus Center, second floor (x8168) and offers services
to men and women, reflecting the interests and concerns of women: health,
social and legal.
During the year the Center sponsors a variety of workshops, discussions and
educational programs about relevant issues such as legislation affecting women,
career choices, birth control, health, child care, harassment, etc.
Other services include peer counseling and support groups, career planning,
information and referral, and advocacy.
The Center also has a resource lending library which contains over 600 books,
references, and recent publications covering issues related to women.
All are welcome to use the Center's resources and to participate in their
programs and activities.
Work Orders
Any time a faculty member wants repair or remodeling work done, for example
to his or her office or classroom, s/he must work through the department's
Secretary and Chairperson.
Please bring immediately hazardous conditions to their attention and to that
of Facilities/Physical Plant at x8101 or x8102.
Begin with the UMass Dartmouth Home Page on Netscape.
Next choose "Search Indices". From the list to the right of "Search Indices",
choose "Alphabetical Site Index".
Scroll down to the "F" listing.
Choose "Facilities Work Request".
Fill in the blanks on the form then click on ʻSubmit Work Request".
Note: It will be helpful if you write down the Work Request Number. You can
then keep track of the Work Request by using this number and the "Find Work
Request" option on the left of the screen.
