The Center for Teaching Excellence

Resources for Teaching and Learning

One of the central missions of the Center is to make up-to-date research and materials on university-level teaching and learning readily available to the UMass Dartmouth community.

Please contact the Center with any suggestions you have for teaching-related materials that should be added to these resources. All of us at UMass Dartmouth will benefit from your input.

Fresh Ideas

is a collection of teaching strategies developed by UMass Dartmouth faculty participating in the First-Year Success Program. These strategies are aimed at increasing the academic success of first-year students as they make the transition to college. Fresh Ideas is published annually and is available on-line and as a printed booklet.

Resource Center

is a collection of articles, books, DVDs, and videos about university-level teaching and learning housed in the Center offices in Liberal Arts, Suite 373. Members of the UMass Dartmouth community are invited to peruse and borrow the materials in the Resource Center. See Resource Center lists by author or by title for a list of currently available materials. Please contact the Center with suggestions for additional materials.

The teaching development collection is housed in the Resource Center in Liberal Arts, Room 370. Books may be checked out with CTE's Administrative Assistant.
