Sarah R. Borden '69 Scholarship For full time returning PCE sophomore, juniors and seniors. Financial need is considered but emphasis is placed on academic performances of no less than a GPA of 3.0. $250-$500

Accounting

Kenneth G. Gammons C.P.A. Scholarship To aid full-time, matriculated students in the Charlton College of business majoring in accounting/finance. It is preferable that students be enrolled in their junior or senior years at the University and that they reside in either the greater New Bedford, MA or the greater Sarasota, FL areas. Annual award of $2,000 contingent upon funding. Application is made through the Chair of the Accounting/Finance Department.

Bertram Berger Memorial Scholarship For undergraduate junior or senior status Civil and Environmental Engineering students.
This is a need and merit based scholarship with need taking priority. Financial need as well as academic and leadership achievement will be considered.
Students entering their junior year shall apply for the scholarship in the second semester of their sophomore year, and students entering their senior year shall apply in the second semester of their junior year.

Gerontology

Scholarship Eligibility Approx. Amount Application
Jack M. Gould Scholarship Must be a degree candidate at UMD with a minor in gerontology. Selection based on current activity and future goals for contribution to bettering the lives of the elderly. $500 Letter of application to the Program Director of Gerontology by January 31. Letter should include:
1) Two UMD faculty references;
2) Current transcript;
3) Documentation of acceptance into the minor or certificate in gerontology;
4) Personal statement of present and proposed involvement in the field of gerontology.
