To support a full-time, matriculated undergraduate students in the University Honors Program, specifically senior students working on their honors theses at UMass Dartmouth. The recipient will be determined by the Honors Program Director. No application.
Boivin Center Scholarship New freshman undergraduate student with strong academic achievement and demonstrated academic involvement in the French language and culture.

Chancellor's Centennial Scholarship For graduate students in each of UMD's five colleges. Award decisions are based on excellent academic standing and demonstrated financial need.

A.J. Carvalho Memorial Scholarship For students of Portuguese descent who have attended New Bedford High School. For either an incoming freshmen with a GPA of 3.0 or for a full-time UMD student with a 3.0 GPA.

Earle P. Charlton Scholarship Must be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student with superior standing. Preference given to Fall River and Somerset (MA) residents.

Marie Sklodowska Curie Scholarship For a female UMD student majoring in science, mathematics or engineering. Preference given to a student of Polish descent.

Gustave and Elsa LaStaiti Scholarship Full-time students who have completed at least 24 credit hours at UMD or elsewhere; GPA of 3.0 or higher and who have been actively involved in significant public service at UMass Dartmouth and/or in their home towns. Candidates must be residents of Bristol, Plymouth, Duke or Barnstable counties in Massachusetts.

Grace K. Fey Scholarship

Full time sophomore students as of 2009, with at least a 3.5 GPA. Preference given to mathematics, science and nursing majors.

Full-time UMass undergraduate student as of Fall 2009 with at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA. Recipients are selected from any of the UMass campuses: Amherst, Boston, Dartmouth or Lowell.  Download Application
New Bedford Italian Literary and Mutual Aid Society Scholarship UMD students of Italian descent who are residents of New Bedford, Dartmouth, Fairhaven, Acushnet, Mattapoisett, Marion, Rochester, and Westport.

For full time undergraduate students in the College of Arts & Sciences. Financial need is considered but emphasis is placed on academic performances of no less than a GPA of 3.0.

Jeanne Walsh '76 Scholarship Students with a chronic illness who show academic achievement. Demonstrated financial need is considered but decisions are mainly based on merit.

Bertram Berger Memorial Scholarship

For undergraduate junior or senior status Civil and Environmental Engineering students. This is a need and merit based scholarship with need taking priority. Financial need as well as academic and leadership achievement will be considered.


Students entering their junior year shall apply for the scholarship in the second semester of their sophomore year, and students entering their senior year shall apply in the second semester of their junior year.
