| Chancellor's Scholarship | Awarded to residents of Massachusetts and designated border communities in Rhode Island are eligible. Students must have a combined SAT I Math & Critical Reading score of above 1250, and be in the top 25 percent of their class or have a 3.25 grade point average. The scholarship is renewable for three additional years as long as students complete at least 24 credits during the academic year and maintain a grade point average of 3.0. | UMD fee waiver valued at up to $5,000 | Application for admission and subsequent acceptance to UMD will automatically allow students to be considered. | Chancellor's Transfer Scholarship | Eligible students are those who are graduating from a two-year college (public or private). Students must have a grade point average of 3.5 or better and have completed their associate degree program by the fall semester of their matriculation. The scholarships are renewable for up to six semesters if students complete 18 credits a year and maintain at least a 3.0 grade point average. | UMD fee waiver valued at up to $5,000. | Application for admission and subsequent acceptance to UMD will automatically allow students to be considered. | University Commonwealth Scholars | Awarded to exceptionally well-qualified students who are residents of Massachusetts and who have shown outstanding academic achievement and potential. The scholarship is renewable for three additional years as long as the student maintains a 3.25 grade point average and completes at least 30 credits each year. Recipients must have:

| Stanley Z. Koplik Certificate of Mastery Tuition Waiver | Any student who has graduated from a Massachusetts high school and awarded a Certificate of Mastery. Must be a legal resident of Massachusetts and is a U.S. citizen or Non-citizen eligible under Title IV regulations. Renewable for up to eight semesters if GPA of 3.3 is maintained as well as Massachusetts residency. | ||
| Matthew J. Macy Memorial Scholarship | To support a graduate from one of the five local high schools in and around the city of Fall River, MA. These high schools are; BMC Durfee High School, Bishop Connolly High School, Joseph Case High School, Somerset High School and Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School. | Talent Scholarship | Designed to support students with high academic and leadership potential who may not be able to afford all the costs of higher education. The scholarship is renewable each year as long as a student carries a minimum of 24 credits and maintains a 3.0 grade point average. Applicants meet the criteria by falling into at least two of the following categories:

| Valedictorian Tuition Waiver | Students enrolled in a degree program at a public higher education in the Commonwealth who has been designated by a public or private high school in the state as a valedictorian and meets the eligibility criteria as established by the public higher education institution for this program. Must maintain satisfactory academic progress and be a permanent legal resident of Massachusetts for at least one year and be a U.S. citizens or a non-citizen eligible under Title IV regulations. Must be in compliance with law regarding Selective Service Registration and not in default of any Federal or State Student loans. | ||
