William M. Bulger Presidential Scholarship

This scholarship is to provide recognition of and financial assistance to outstanding UMass students.

To be eligible for this scholarship, student must meet the following criteria:

  • Be currently enrolled full-time at one of the UMass campuses: Amherst, Boston, Dartmouth, Lowell and Worcester

  • Must have an overall GPA of 3.25 with a minimum of 12-credits earned at UMass

  • Be a permanent resident of Massachusetts

  • Open to all majors

  • Submit application, UMass transcript, and a 500-word essay on "Who in your life has been your biggest influence and why?"

The scholarship is awarded for one year and is renewable for up to three years. A GPA of 3.25 and full-time enrollment status must be maintained throughout the duration of the scholarship.

 

William M. Bulger Presidential Scholarship

Grace K. Fey Scholarship

Recipients must be currently enrolled full time at UMass Dartmouth; must be a matriculated sophomore; a resident of Massachusetts; and have an overall GPA of 3.5 earned at UMass. Open to all majors with preference given to mathematics, sciences and nursing.

Charles J. Hoff Scholarship Program

For full-time, Massachusetts residents who have completed 24 or more credits (sophomore, junior or senior status) towards an undergraduate degree as of spring 2012 and a minimum GPA of 3.25. Student must be enrolled for a minimum of 12-credit hours each semester. Students must demonstrate financial need.

Award is renewable on a semester basis conditional upon satisfactory performance and continued financial aid eligibility. The maximum length of the award is six semesters.

Robert S. Karam Scholarship

Provide financial assistance to motivated students from Lebanon and/or alumni of Durfee High School who are serious about their education and are in need of financial assistance.

Be a current freshman, sophomore, or junior with the following criteria:

  • Be a graduate of B M C Durfee High School in Fall River, Massachusetts; or be from Lebanon or be the child or grandchild of someone who is or was a citizen of Lebanon
  • Have a minimum grade point average of 2.5
  • Demonstrate personal financial contribution toward educational costs

Preference will be given to business and engineering majors.

Invitation to apply for this scholarship will be mailed from the UMass President’s Office.

Rosalind A. Matthews Scholarship

Provide up to four years of scholarship assistance with the purpose of encouraging disadvantaged students to pursue an education that leads to a career in business.

To be eligible for this scholarship, student must meet the following criteria:

  • Be an admitted freshman or a transfer student

  • Be enrolled in the School of Management

  • Be a resident of Massachusetts

  • Have an overall GPA of 3.25

There will be one Rosalind A. Matthews Scholar per campus per year. For renewal of the scholarship, students must maintain eligibility requirements.

Application for admission and subsequent acceptance to UMD will automatically allow students to be considered. Students must have a completed FAFSA on file.

Putnam UMass Scholars Program

Recipients must be currently enrolled full time at UMass Dartmouth; be a matriculated undergraduate student; and must have an overall GPA of 3.0.

UMass Club Academic Excellence Scholarship

Established in 2011 to provided special recognition to UMass undergraduate students who demonstrate academic excellence. Student must maintain a GPA of 3.25 and full-time status throughout the duration of the scholarship. The scholarship is awarded for one year.

Jack M. Wilson Presidential Scholarship Fund

To provide special recognition to full-time UMass students who demonstrate academic excellence and a passion for public service.

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Be currently enrolled at UMass Dartmouth.

  • Have an overall GPA of 3.25, with a minimum of fifteen (15) credits earned at UMass.

  • Preference for Business, Engineering and Physics majors. Preference for students of any major studying abroad.

The scholarship is awarded for one year. GPA of 3.25 and full-time enrollment status at UMass Dartmouth must be maintained throughout the duration of the scholarship. Eligible students may apply for a second year, but renewal of the award is not guaranteed.
