Bank of America Scholarship Fund

This scholarship was established in 2013 to provide recognition of and financial assistance to an outstanding student entering or currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate at UMass Dartmouth. To be eligible, students must be enrolled full-time for the full academic year; maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or better; must demonstrate a minimum unmet financial need of $4,000; open to all majors.

This scholarship is renewable provided that the student maintains eligibility requirements. This Scholarship is renewable for up to three years.

Application for admission and subsequent acceptance to UMD will automatically allow students to be considered. Students must have a completed 2014-2015 FAFSA on file.

William M. Bulger Presidential Scholarship

This scholarship is to provide recognition of and financial assistance to outstanding UMass students.

To be eligible for this scholarship, student must meet the following criteria:

  • Be currently enrolled full-time at one of the UMass campuses: Amherst, Boston, Dartmouth, Lowell and Worcester

  • Must have an overall GPA of 3.25 with a minimum of 12-credits earned at UMass

  • Be a permanent resident of Massachusetts

  • Open to all majors

  • Submit application, UMass transcript, and a 500-word essay on "Who in your life has been your biggest influence and why?"

The scholarship is awarded for one year and is renewable for up to three years. A GPA of 3.25 and full-time enrollment status must be maintained throughout the duration of the scholarship.

CourionCares UMass Scholarship

This scholarship is to provide special recognition to a UMass Dartmouth undergraduate student who demonstrates academic excellence and financial need. In order to be considered, students must be currently enrolled full-time at UMass Dartmouth; have an overall GPA of 3.0, with a minimum of fifteen (15) credits earned at UMass; have filed a FAFSA with demonstrated financial need of at least $2,000; and be a permanent resident of Massachusetts. Preference is for computer science or engineering majors.

Grace K. Fey Scholarship

The University of Massachusetts is offering one scholarship to provide recognition of and financial assistance to an outstanding student at a sponsoring UMass campus.  To be considered, recipients must be currently enrolled full time at UMass Dartmouth; must be a matriculated sophomore in the Fall 2014 semester; a permanent resident of Massachusetts; and have an overall GPA of 3.5 earned at UMass. Open to all majors with preference given to mathematics, sciences and nursing.

Charles J. Hoff Scholarship Program

For full-time, Massachusetts residents who have completed 24 or more credits (sophomore, junior or senior status) towards an undergraduate degree as of spring 2014 and a minimum GPA of 3.25. Student must be enrolled for a minimum of 12-credit hours each semester. Students must demonstrate financial need.

Award is renewable on a semester basis conditional upon satisfactory performance and continued financial aid eligibility. The maximum length of the award is six semesters.

Charles J. Hoff Eligibility Statement and Scholarship Application

James J. Karam Scholarship Fund

This fund is to provide a scholarship for a deserving student who meet the following requirements:

  • Must be currently enrolled full-time in a matriculated program and maintain full-time status for the duration of this scholarship
  • Must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better with a minimum of 12-credits earned at UMass Dartmouth
  • Must demonstrate financial need
  • Must be a permanent resident of Acushnet, Dartmouth, Fairhaven, Fall River, Freetown, New Bedford, Somerset, Swansea, Westport or Tiverton, RI

This scholarship is renewable up to a total of four years. Students are required to apply for renewal each academic year.

Invitation to apply to this scholarship will be sent from the UMass Dartmouth Finanancial Aid Office.

Robert S. Karam Scholarship

Provide financial assistance to motivated students from Lebanon and/or alumni of Durfee High School who are serious about their education and are in need of financial assistance.

Be a current freshman, sophomore, or junior with the following criteria:

  • Be a graduate of B M C Durfee High School in Fall River, Massachusetts; or be from Lebanon or be the child or grandchild of someone who is or was a citizen of Lebanon
  • Have a minimum grade point average of 2.5
  • Demonstrate personal financial contribution toward educational costs

Preference will be given to business and engineering majors.

Invitation to apply for this scholarship will be mailed from the UMass President’s Office.

Myra Kraft Community Leadership Scholarship Fund

This scholarship will honor the late Myra Hiatt Kraft by providing financial support to deserving UMass undergraduate students who are actively involved in community service. To be considered for this scholarship, student must be a matriculated junior for the fall 2014 semester at UMass Dartmouth; be a volunteer at least two (2) hours per week at a charitable organization; and be a permanent resident of Massachusetts. This scholarship is open to any major.

This is a one-year scholarship that is not renewable.

Merit-based Scholarship Application

Rosalind A. Matthews Scholarship

Provide up to four years of scholarship assistance with the purpose of encouraging disadvantaged students to pursue an education that leads to a career in business.

To be eligible for this scholarship, student must meet the following criteria:

  • Be an admitted freshman or a transfer student

  • Be enrolled in the School of Management

  • Be a resident of Massachusetts

  • Have an overall GPA of 3.25

There will be one Rosalind A. Matthews Scholar per campus per year. For renewal of the scholarship, students must maintain eligibility requirements.

Putnam UMass Scholars Program

The University of Massachusetts is offering 2+ scholarships to provide recognition of and financial assistance to an outstanding student at a sponsoring UMass campus. To be considered, recipients must be currently enrolled full time at UMass Dartmouth; be a matriculated sophomore, junior or senior student during the 2014-15 academic year; and must have an overall GPA of 3.0.

Putnam UMass Scholars Application

UMass Club Academic Excellence Scholarship

Established in 2011 to provide special recognition to a UMass undergraduate student who demonstrates academic excellence. Student must maintain a GPA of 3.25 and full-time status throughout the duration of the scholarship. The scholarship is awarded for one year and is non-renewable.

Jack M. Wilson Presidential Scholarship Fund

To provide special recognition to a full-time UMass Dartmouth student who demonstrates academic excellence and a passion for public service.

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Be currently enrolled at UMass Dartmouth.

  • Have an overall GPA of 3.25, with a minimum of fifteen (15) credits earned at UMass.

  • Preference for Business, Engineering and Physics majors. Preference for students of any major studying abroad.

The scholarship is awarded for one year. GPA of 3.25 and full-time enrollment status at UMass Dartmouth must be maintained throughout the duration of the scholarship. Eligible students may apply for a second year, but renewal of the award is not guaranteed.

Roy J. Zuckerberg Scholarship Endowment

This scholarship will provide support to a student who has demonstrated extraordinary achievement in academics and community service at UMass Dartmouth. To be considered, student must be a full-time student enrolled at UMass Dartmouth for the 2014-2015 academic year; must demonstrate extraordinary achievement in academics and community service; maintain an overall GPA of 3.25. This scholarship is open to any major. There is no residency requirement, with preference given to out-of-state students.

This scholarship is a one-year scholarship that is not renewable.
