Searching for Funding Opportunities - The university's access to on-line sources offers you an opportunity to search for grant information. ORA can assist you in searching SPIN and/or the Internet for funding information or in signing you up for electronic notifications. Please contact Mary Hensel at mhensel@umassd.edu or X-8074.
SMARTS/GENIUS - SPIN (Sponsored Programs Information Network) database is available to the university community. This searchable database contains up to date funding information on federal and non-federal funding sources that support higher education and research. Through the use of keyword identifiers, the SPIN Database searches and selects relevant funding programs and provides up-to-date information on contact person(s), telephone numbers, addresses, award range amounts, specific program information, restrictions and other information related to the application process. ORA can assist you in searching SPIN and/or the Internet for funding information. You can also sign up to receive electronic notification of funding. Registration for creating a profile for email notification is done through GENIUS.

GRANTS.GOV - Grants.gov is a central storehouse for information on over 1,000 grant programs and access to approximately $400 billion in annual awards. Federal funding opportunities can be obtained by doing a quick search on keywords or by signing up to receive electronic notification. You can also sign up to receive electronic notification of funding through the above link.
