Forwarding Your Email
To forward your UMass Dartmouth email to another email account.
Note: You do not need to log into WebMail to set or change a forwarding address.
- Start Netscape or Internet Explorer.
- In the Location/Address field type, webmail.umassd.edu.
- The WebMail login dialog box displays.
- Click the link, [click here to set (or change) email forward].
- A Security Information window displays.
- Click Continue or OK.
(In some browsers the E-Mail forwarding system displays without the
need to click Continue or OK.)
- The E-Mail forwarding system window displays.
- Click the link, Change Forwarding Address.
- A Username and Password Required window displays.
- Type your UMassD username and password.
- Click OK.
- The UMass Dartmouth E-mail Services window displays.
- Type your UmassD password once again for verification.
- Type the forwarding address. Ex. johnsonb@gis.net
- Click Submit
Please wait while the system processes your request.
If your forward was successful the forwarding address is displayed. (See below)

Please wait for this to complete. It will take about 30 seconds.
Your e-mail is being forwarded to johnsonb@gis.net
If you are not successful in changing the forwarding address it may
be because your password has expired. Change your password, then try again.

Changing Your Password
To change your UMass Dartmouth email password follow the instructions below.
Note: You do not need to log into WebMail to set or change a forwarding address.
- Start Netscape or Internet Explorer.
- In the Location/Address field type, webmail.umassd.edu.
- The WebMail login dialog box displays.
- Click the link, [click here to set (or change) your password].
- A Security Information window displays.
- Click Continue or OK.
(In some browsers the E-Mail forwarding system displays without the
need to click Continue or OK.)
- The Changing your UMass Dartmouth E-Mail password window displays.
- Type a “new” password into the New Password:
field.
- Retype the “new” password into the Verification:
field.
- Click Change Password button.
- A Username and Password Required window displays.
- Type your UMassD username and “old”
password. (Not the “new” password you just entered.)
- Click OK.
If your password change was successful the feedback is displayed. (See below)
The PMDF Password Change window displays.
Your PMDF mail password was successfully changed.
When you next try to access your mail account, you will need to use your new
password.
Any incidental output from the server will appear below.
