Room Selection 2013-2014

Room selection for 2013-2014 is rapidly approaching! The first step in the process (for returning students) is to make a nonrefundable $200 Housing prepayment. Housing prepayments can be made at the University Enrollment Center located in the Foster Administration Building. Students should not mail in Housing prepayment checks. The Enrollment Center DOES accept credit card payments via the telephone (508-999-9129). The credit card line hours are 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Fridays. Students should secure the receipt received from University Enrollment Center, as it will serve as proof of payment. The prepayment does not guarantee a student an on-campus room, but does ensure inclusion in the Participation Lottery. Please note: students with a balance of $500 or more will not be allowed to participate in the room selection process - any prepayments made could be applied to the student's outstanding balance rather than Fall 2013 housing.

For more information, please click here.

If a student can not get his or her balance under $500 by the March 4 deadline, this does NOT mean that the student will not get on-campus housing for the fall. The student can pay off his or her balance to under $500 and THEN put in the prepayment. At this time, the student can come to the Housing Office, fill out a Housing Choice Form, and be placed on the Late Pay List. For students on the Late Pay List. Students on the Late Pay List will receive a room offer during the summer, and will have an opportunity to turn in a contract and receive housing. However, these students will not be allowed to participate in the formal Room Selection process as a selector or someone being pulled in to a room.

Spring Break Housing

Spring Break Housing Applications are currently available in the Housing Office, and are due on March 8. The halls close for Spring Break at 5 pm on Friday, March 15, and re-open at noon on Sunday, March 24.

Thematic Housing

Thematic Housing Applications for students participating in room selection (students with confirmed prepayments or deferrals) will be available in the Housing Office on Tuesday, March 5. Themes include Honors (student must be in the Honors program), Quiet Housing, Substance Awareness Housing, Sophomore Nursing/Engineering, Sophomore Quiet Housing, and Sophomore Substance Awareness Housing. Please note that filling out a Thematic Housing application does NOT guarantee a student placement in a thematic community.
