As the spring semester comes to a close, the Office of Housing & Residential Life would like to remind our residential students to plan ahead for their impending summer move. 

All students are expected to check-out of their Residential Housing assignments within 24 hours of their last exam or by 5:00pm on Wednesday, May 21st  (whichever comes first). Students who have an exam or similar academic commitment on Wednesday, May 21st may have until Thursday, May 22nd at 10:00am to check out of their rooms.  Any student with a class or other academic commitment  that extends beyond the checkout times as described above should consult with his/her respective RD no later than May 15th to work out a check-out time/date to accommodate their scheduling needs.

Students must check-out with an RA, which includes removing all belongings from their room/apartment, cleaning their room/apartment, returning their keys and signing out on their room/apartment inventory.  Checklists of closing procedures will be taped to all residential area doors on green paper within the week, as a reminder. Scheduled check-out hours will be posted in  each of the residential areas.

 Students who are: registered to graduate on May 25, working at Commencement, or International Students with flights leaving after May 21st are the only exceptions.  These students will be required to check out by 7:00pm on Sunday, May 25, 2008.  All students who believe they fall into any of these categories must check with their Resident Director for final approval to stay prior to May 21st.
