Summer Housing Terms & Conditions

I am aware that:

• the official move in time, beginning on May 25, 2008, is from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm when RA’s are available to assist me. If I arrive later than 7pm, I will have to wait until an RA is on duty, 7:30 pm, to get my key and complete my room inventory
  
  
• academic year rules and regulations remain in effect during the Summer Break period. In the event that I am found responsible for any student disciplinary infraction during the summer housing period I may be required to vacate my summer housing assignment

• in an extenuating circumstance, I may move in prior to the summer session start period. I will work with my RD as soon as my exams are over should I need this accommodation. I must be properly checked-out of my academic year housing assignment by the summer session start period which begins on May 25, 2008 at 7pm. Failure to have transitioned into a new room by the summer session start period, 7pm, will result in immediate denial of this accommodation request.

• should I be approved and agree to pay for housing prior to May 25, 2008, I am essentially guaranteed a room and that my room assignment may not be in typical move-in condition due to the fact that students are moving out at the same time I am trying to move in. I accept these conditions.

• if I have moved in prior to the summer session start period, as summer residences halls become available for the summer housing opening, I may be asked to move from early move-in assignment to permanent summer assignment.

• the Office of Housing and Residential Life will try to place me with friends for the summer, but no guarantees can be made due to the hectic schedules of students moving out and cleaning requirements.

• summer room changes will only be considered in extreme, emergency situations and at the RD’s discretion.

• no guests or parties (social gatherings) are allowed in student rooms, common areas, or apartments.

• as soon as my class or job ends, I must move home for the remainder of the summer.

• OHRL will require all Summer residents to move from their Summer assignment to their upcoming Fall assignment sometime during the last two weeks of August. By choosing to live on campus during the summer, I am accepting the terms of the August move as to be determined and will adjust my personal schedule to comply with move dates and times.
