The four first year (Freshman) halls are referred to as the Traditional Halls.
Roberts Hall
Roberts Hall has a lower level and 3 main floors and follows a suite style of living. There are two bathrooms per suite (one with a bath/shower and one with shower). Student's mailboxes are located on the first floor and the laundry room is located in the basement of Roberts. Robert's Hall was renovated in 2003, which included the installation of new carpets and sliding windows.
Chestnut Hall
It has a basement, 3 floors and follows the suite style of living. Each floor contains a common area, which has a kitchenette, a dining area, and a living area for the residents to share. There are 2 bathrooms per suite (one with a bath/shower and one with a shower). Chestnut Hall was renovated the summer of 2003. It has a multipurpose room with pool and ping-pong tables. The room also has 2 couches and a TV for residents.
Elmwood
Elmwood Hall is laid out in suites, has a ground floor and three residence floors. There is one bathroom per suite containing a shower and bath/shower combination. Elmwood's lobby has laundry facilities and a multi-purpose room that includes: a kitchen, vending machines, pool table, piano, couches and a television.
Maple Ridge Hall
Elmwood Hall and Maple Ridge Hall are mirror images of each other. Maple Ridge Hall has a ground floor with 3 floors of residents and follows the suite style of living. There is one bathroom in each suite containing a shower and bath/shower combination. The Maple Ridge Grill is located in the lobby and is open at night for residents. Students can use their meal plan's snack allowance to buy food at the Grill.
