Summer
Students may request to reside on campus during the summer period. In order to receive a Summer Housing assignment, UMD students must have a confirmed Housing reservation for the upcoming Fall and meet one of the following criteria:

International students - must obtain written verification of their status from the International Student Center.

Engaged in classes, student teaching, internships, or co-op programs - must obtain written verification of enrollment from the academic department/faculty member sponsoring the program.

Employed on UMD campus - must obtain written verification from their campus employment supervisor

Athletes and Student Leaders - must obtain written verification from a coach/advisor confirming their athlete/leader status, and stating trainings/games/events that require their presence on campus

Extenuating circumstances - are evaluated on a case-by-case basis and not guaranteed approval. Students must make an appointment to meet with their Resident Director to discuss individual circumstances. Request must be submitted in writing and include an outline of circumstances.

Completed applications due: Friday, May 8th by 5 PM

Spring hall check out is: Wednesday May 20 th by 5 PM.

Summer Housing Starts: Sunday, May 31, 2009

Summer Housing Cost: $25/day

Dining facilities: open , schedules to be announced
Please note, if you have an academic commitment that extends beyond the Spring hall checkout time, consult with your respective RD no later than May 14th to work out an extended check-out date/time.
