Room Rates 2012-13

Room Contract Types

Academic Year

This Housing Contract option is the most often selected by our students, as they do not anticipate a need for campus housing during all academic break periods.

10 Month

This Housing Contract option will be attractive to those students who prefer or need campus housing during all academic break periods except the summer break. Students choosing 10 month housing may remain in an assigned room through Thanksgiving, Winter Break Intersession (temporarily assigned to a space in the Cedar Dell community), and Spring Break periods. The 10 month rate includes a 40% discount on the cost of the Thanksgiving Break, Intersession, and Spring Break.

12 Month

This Housing Contract option will be attractive to those students who prefer or need campus housing during all academic break periods including the Summer Break. Students choosing 12 month housing may remain in an assigned room through Thanksgiving, Winter Break Intersession (temporarily assigned to a space in the Cedar Dell community), Spring Break, and Summer Break periods. The 12 month rate includes a 40% discount on the cost of the Thanksgiving Break, Intersession, Spring Break, and Summer Break.

Residential Technology Fee

Please note that all on-campus students must also pay a Residential Technology Fee in addition to the housing costs listed above. This fee covers telephone, cable, and internet in the residence halls. The rate for the 2012-2013 academic year is $339. Documents printed prior to June 28, 2012, may have the erroneous amount of $353 listed. $339 is the correct rate for the 2012-2013 academic year.

Meal Plans

Traditional, Oak Glen and Pine Dale residents are required to purchase a meal plan. Students in those areas who do not indicate a meal plan choice will default to a 14-meal plan.

Woodlands and Cedar Dell residents are not required to purchase a meal plan, but do have meal plan options designed specifically for them.
