Operations Manager
(Sustainability, Support & Conferencing)
The Operations Manager administers HFOS responsibilities pertaining to on-campus conferences, manages the HFOS sustainability efforts and supports the Assistant Director (Facilities Maintenance) on various projects. Conferencing responsibilities include the operational aspects of providing campus housing to participants of conferences and events including set-up, break down and clean up, registration, providing key/card access, responding to emergencies, etc. The Operations Manager will manage HFOS sustainability, recycling and energy conservation efforts. Duties include but are not limited to expanding current efforts to include all UMass Dartmouth residence halls and to promote sustainability initiatives to resident students and Residence Life staff. The Operations Manager will provide assistance to the Assistant Director on special projects, staffing issues, compliance issues, etc. and will serve in the on-call rotation of HFOS professional staff addressing after-hours emergencies and situations. The Operations Manager promotes and trains staff to deliver excellent customer service. This position requires a flexible schedule with night and weekend work as necessary.
