Director of Housing and Residential Life

UMass Dartmouth is seeking a qualified individual to serve as the Director of Housing and Residential Life. The individual hired will be responsible for residence hall programming, facilities management, all housing assignments coordination, technology management, budget development, fiscal management, and staffing.  The Director is also responsible for developing and maintaining a safe and comfortable residence life environment in the residence halls and student apartments, in the promotion of a high quality living-learning experience for the residence students, and maintains a respectful and civil environment for all residents; for coordinating off-campus housing services; for overseeing the coordination of the work of the residence hall maintenance, custodians and residence life staff; and for planning and assessment for all aspects of the department.
 
A Masters Degree in Business, Student Personnel or related field is required.  The successful applicant has significant and progressive experience in University administration with a minimum of five years in the administration of a University housing system, with emphasis on residential education, facilities and operations, and the development, organization, and management of a complex operation.  Demonstrated knowledge in business administration and operations is a must.
