Modern European History
The History Department at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth intends to make a Full-Time Lecturer appointment to begin on September 1, 2013, focusing on modern Europe. Teaching responsibilities will include upper division survey courses in modern European history; more specialized courses in Central European, Eastern European, German, Russian or thematic courses; and introductory World History and Western Civilization surveys. The teaching load at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth is four courses per semester. In addition to teaching, the successful candidate is expected to provide service to the university. Salary and benefits are competitive. PhD in an appropriate area of European History is required. Teaching experience is required, with documented proficiency.
