Full-Time Lecturer, Comparative Politics and International Relations

The Department of Political Science at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth seeks a full-time lecturer in comparative politics and international relations for an initial 2-year contract, with strong possibility for ongoing contract renewal upon successful review of performance. Starting date is August 1, 2013. This position is primarily a teaching position; the teaching load is 4 courses per semester, with 2 or more of those courses being delivered online. The online courses will be part of a new online degree completion program in political science

Requirements: ABDs will be considered but a Ph.D. in political science is preferred. The successful candidate will be expected to teach introductory courses in IR and comparative politics and upper-level courses in an area of specialization. The successful candidate will also be expected to teach undergraduate quantitative research methods in an online format on a regular basis. Preference will be given to candidates who have online teaching experience and who have prior experience teaching the above listed courses.
