Coordinator of Student Support Services
University Extension for Online and Adult Learning
The Coordinator of Student Support Services assures that University Extension Online and Adult Education students have appropriate access to student services. Working with the Office of Admissions, s/he assures that student admissions needs are met. S/he also coordinates advising services for online and adult students as well as alternative admissions students. The Coordinator is responsible for student success, retention and graduation rates, to meet the standards of the University. Working with college deans and department chairs, s/he researches, designs and coordinates implementation of projects such as Prior Learning experiences for student transfer credit.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree; demonstrated (three to five years’) experience working in higher education support services with diverse student populations. Experience of researching and implementing change in higher education setting; Must be able to work morning, evening and/or weekend hours as needed during peak enrollment periods and special functions; travel to off-campus sites and between the main and satellite campuses as needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills; Excellent administration skills; Experience advising online students; Significant experience with diverse student populations; Demonstrated experience developing programming for undergraduate populations.
