Assistant Dean for Graduate Studies
The Assistant Dean for Graduate Programs serves as a member of the management team of the Charlton College of Business. The Assistant Dean supports the graduate programs in overseeing all matters relating to marketing program development, advising and support, student retention and recruitment, strategic planning, international programs, outreach activities and internship coordination and interdisciplinary relationships.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate degree in discipline relevant to the Charlton College of Business. EXPERIENCE: Minimum five years' professional experience required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
· A high level of energy, enthusiasm and flexibility to ensure all CCB initiatives are maintained such as community involvement and reaccreditation
· An understanding of the need to solve problems with a balanced view of the needs of diverse stakeholders
· Cooperative and consultative leadership skills to involve faculty, staff, administrators and the community in college initiatives
· Ability to work as a team player and articulate a shared vision for the College.
· Ability and willingness to represent the dean and the College at internal or external events
· Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Understanding of budgets and the campus fiscal processes
· Working knowledge of software such as PeopleSoft advising software (COIN), and Sedona.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- MBA degree
- Higher education administrative experience
- Knowledge of graduate business curriculum, internship and co-op program
