The International Business Association is a student activity at the University of Massachusetts- Dartmouth that takes students overseas to research trade opportunities for local business firms and provides students with a unique opportunity to learn about other nations through cultural immersion. The IBA also sponsors and facilitates international internships with the International Trade Assistance Center and MassExport to provide students with the opportunity to gain hands-on international business experience.

The IBA is one of the largest campus-wide activities at UMass Dartmouth and builds social and professional bridges between UMD students and students abroad. In addition to the comprehensive research trips abroad, the IBA visits major local cities, such as New York and Boston, to study international business practices and participates in seminars and forums focusing on the impact of trade agreements on local industry.
