The course will examine different sources of natural history, genetics, as well as literary and archaeological records to reconstruct the emergence and growth of the Vedic and Harappan (Indus-Sarasvati) civilizations. It will also critically examine some modern myths like the Aryan – Non-Aryan and the migrations – invasion scenarios and place them in their historical context.
