Health Insurance

J-1 students are required to purchase the University health insurance (at a cost of $957 for the 2004-05 year). This insurance meets the U.S. Department of State J-1 visa requirements for coverage for illness, injury, repatriation of remains, and medical evacuation. In addition, the insurance meets the Massachusetts state requirements for student health insurance coverage.
