Before You Leave: Pre-arrival
We have prepared comprehensive pre-arrival information which we strongly urge you to read and hope you as an international student will find very useful. In addition to this we have also prepared a comprehensive pre-arrival checklist which you will find helpful prior to your departure to the United States.

What is Orientation?
The university requires all new international students to attend the one day International Orientation program, for both F-1 and J-1 students
. Orientation is a program with information sessions about the university and life in the U.S. in general. One of the most important things we do at Orientation is review the regulations for maintaining your visa status.

More generally, Orientation is about welcoming new students; introducing them to the culture; showing them the particular services that the university offers; informing students on university policy; reviewing items which we must by regulation; and ideally, making new friends.
