Relations With Others:
All of the members of our university community have rights and responsibilities in how they interact with each other. As an international citizen in the U.S., you will share in these responsibilities and be able to exercise these rights. Some of them differ from the practices in your own country, because our laws and customs may be different.
Students:
The UMass Dartmouth Student Handbook is edited and issued by the Office of Student Affairs. It is the University's official notification of UMD policies, rules, regulations, and standards of conduct. Students are responsible for the information contained in this Handbook.
The inside of the front cover of both the university's General Catalogue and Graduate Catalogue contain a number of statements about rights and responsibilities. Please read those statements, and please feel free to contact the appropriate officials for assistance, concerning any of these matters.
The following topics are covered:
Statement of Equal Opportunity and Diversity
Statement on Sexual Harassment
Complaints, Grievances, and Appeals Policy
