Welcome to UMass Dartmouth
The International Programs Office manages relationships between UMass Dartmouth and partner universities. As such, the IPO coordinates exchange student application processing, acceptance to the exchange programs, and pre-registration for classes. Other primary responsibilities of this office are to support UMD students who study abroad and faculty who are conducting various international activities.
Students coming to UMass Dartmouth from our partner universities, will find UMass Dartmouth to be a tree-filled campus filled with students, faculty, and constant learning activities. Located in North Dartmouth Massachusetts, UMD is a bus ride away from the small and historic cities of New Bedford and Fall River, and an hours travel from metropolitan Boston. Consult with the International office of your home university and submit this application there. Applications received from the International Office are considered for acceptance to UMass Dartmouth.
See the current university catalog for course descriptions and academic policies. Exchange students are expected to live on campus; information on university housing and meal plan options can be found elsewhere on the UMD website, as is information on health services and requirements, student athletics and clubs.
