Health & wellness
The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth features a number of health and wellness resources for UMass students. In addition to Health Services and the Counseling Center, the university offers an extensive, state-of-the-art fitness center.
For active students who want to stay fit, the unversity's Fitness Center is available seven days a week for open exercise, as well as aerobics classes, Zumba, yoga, and other exercise classes and a six lane lap pool. The Fitness Center is located in the Tripp Athletic Center on the main campus.

Thursday-Friday: 7:00 am - 9:00 pm
Saturday: 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
Sunday: 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
Students who need medical attention for all manner of illnesses and ailments can utilitize the university's Health Services. Health Services is staffed by nurse practitioners, nurses, and a consulting physician. Health Services treats a number of health problems including:
- sore throats
- the flu
- coughs and colds
- skin problems
- gyn problems/birth control
- orthopedic injuries
- stress issues
Health Services also offer programs on issues such as substance abuse, eating disorders, and sexual activity.
Health Services is located in the back of Roberts Hall, across from Pinedale, and is open Monday-Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
In addition to Health Services, the university has a Counseling Center. The Counseling Center provides a range of services to help students develop improved coping skills to address emotional, interpersonal, and academic concerns. The Counseling Center provides individual, couples, and group counseling, as well as psychiatric services. The Counseling Center offers primarily short-term counseling and will help students initiate referrals to community-based services when students need specialized or longer-term services.
Counseling services are provided by licensed psychologists, licensed mental health counselors, and advanced unlicensed doctoral or master's-level trainees under the close supervision of a licensed staff.

The Counseling Center is located in the Auditorium Annex between the main auditorium and the Liberal Arts building, directly above the Admissions office.

The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Dining Services offers extensive dining options for its students, including eight campus dining locations that feature 31 different eateries ranging from healthy grills to coffee shops.
These eateries include Starbucks coffee shops, Wing It, Corsair Pizza, Fresh Market, Hearth Stone Oven, Corsair Grill, and even an on campus food truck. Many of these eateries are open seven days a week, and some are open daily as late as mdnight.
UMass Dartmouth's food service is based on balance and provides something for everyone. Their eateries serve sandwiches, pizza, bugers, salads, Italian and Thai pasta specials, stew and soups, and they also include options for vegetarians, vegans, localvores, and those with gluten allergies.
UMass Dartmouth food services also offers many special events and farmer's markets, and food services also makes all their nutrition information available to students, faculty, and staff on their website.
The university main campus also features extensive technological resources for students. The main campus features eight computer labs, six equipped with Windows computers, one equipped with Mac computers, and one mixed lab. Many of these labs are open seven days a week, some as late as midnight. Computers in university computer labs are equipped with Microsoft Office and Adobe products like Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Indesign.
