The Criminal Prosecution Clinic is housed in the Bristol County District Attorney's Office. CPC students, supervised by a senior District Attorney, spend one semester engaged in the legal work of a prosecutor. Third year students gain experience in the courtoom and refine their skills, including:
- legal writing
- litigation strategy
- courtroom presentation
Students will participate in weekly seminars where they will focus on a variety of topics in:
- criminal law and procedure
- practice skills
In addition to the two-hour seminar, students average 10 hours a week on their case work.
Prerequisite: Criminal Procedure (Law 521)
Corequisites: Legal Ethics (Law 525), Evidence (Law 576) or Trial Practice (Law 620)
