How to apply for financial aid

To be eligible for financial aid at UMass Law, you must:

1. File a Federal Application for Student Aid (FAFSA)

UMass Law's federal school code is 002210. You do not have to wait to be admitted to file your FAFSA.

2. Complete the Financial Aid Application (PDF) annually.

Submit the completed form to UMass Law Financial Aid Services. Use the Application Instructions (PDF) to complete all sections. 

Cost of attendance

The combination of all of your financial aid resources, scholarships and loans, cannot exceed your Cost of Attendance (COA)

Your COA includes your educational costs based on your enrollment and residency status and is listed under the Financial Aid tab in your COIN account in myUMassD. UMassD. It can also be obtained by contacting Financial Aid.
