Additional information

Outside scholarships are counted as financial resources when calculating eligibility for funds based on your cost of attendance budget. Cost of attendance budget, determined by enrollment and residency, is listed under the financial aid tab in COIN. 

Babcock Partners Law Student Scholarship

The Babcock Partners Law Student Scholarship is part of Babcock Partners commitment to helping those who demonstrate high academic achievement, exceptional leadership qualities and involvement with community service defray the costs of obtaining their legal education.

Requirements

  • Our scholarship is available for all current law school students. Full time and part time students are eligible, but you need to be currently enrolled to apply.
  • Any previously awarded scholarships or monetary prizes have no bearing on this scholarship award.
  • Official transcript scanned and sent to babcockpartnersscholarship@gmail.com

Thomas M. McGovern Educational Endowment Trust Fund Scholarship

Applicants are to be students of educational institutions located in Bristol County, Massachusetts, with preference to graduates of the following high schools, in the order named:

  • Joseph Case High School, Swansea, Massachusetts
  • Parochial High Schools of Bristol County
  • Somerset-Berkley Regional High School, Somerset, Massachusetts
  • Fall River High Schools, Fall River, Massachusetts

In addition, high school graduates who have been members of the youth division of the Fall River YMCA for three years may apply.

Law Office of Renkin & Associates Leukemia & Lymphoma Awareness Scholarship

Each year, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society observes Blood Cancer Awareness Month in order to increase knowledge about blood cancers and to raise awareness about research to find new treatments and cures. The Law Office of Renkin & Associates is pleased to announce the creation of a scholarship for a current or incoming law student who has been affected by these diseases.

This $1,000 scholarship was established to provide financial support to a law student whose life has been impacted by lymphoma or leukemia and is seeking to continue his or her education through law school.

Buckfire & Buckfire, P.C. 2015 Law Student Diversity Scholarship

Buckfire & Buckfire, P.C. offers a $2,000.00 scholarship award to a law student who is either a member of an ethnic, racial, or other minority or demonstrates the commitment to issues of diversity within their academic career.

Tad Nelson Law Firm Scholarship

The Tad Nelson Law Firm Scholarship is awarded to a high school senior or graduate from Texas, seeing a future career in law. The one-time, $500.00 scholarship is judged primarily on need basis, but does not exclude achievement standards. This scholarship is made possible by donations from the Houston Criminal Defense Attorneys at The Law Office of Tad Nelson & Associates.

Ladah Law Firm, PLLC Injury Scholarship

Ladah Law Firm is pleased to announce the Injury Scholarship for the 2015 school year. The personal injury attorneys at Ladah Law Firm work closely with accident victims and their families every day. We know the long term effects an injury can have, and want to extend our help to future lawyers affected by an injury or accident.

This scholarship is a one time award of $2,000 and will be presented in the fall semester of 2015.

2015 Davis Levin Livingston Scholarship  

The Honolulu law firm of Davis Levin Livingston has announced their second Public Interest Law Scholarship. The scholarship intends to support law students intending to pursue public interest law and add to the ranks of motivated young attorneys willing to consider a career as a public interest lawyer. The firm awarded two $3,000 scholarships in 2014 after finding two extremely worth applicants.

Second Annual Luvera Law Firm Scholarship

Many students enroll in law school to serve as champions of the underdog. They are committed to preserving a vigorous civil justice system, and to achieving justice for those who have been injured. To support the pursuit of justice, equality, and fairness in the legal process, Luvera Law Firm has created the Annual Luvera Law Firm Scholarship.

The $2,000 scholarship will help defray expenses for a student who has been accepted into or in enrolled in an accredited law school in Washington or elsewhere in the United States for enrollment in the fall of the application year.

J‌ames Bellefeuille Legal Marketing Strategy Scholarship

Attorney James Bellefeuille is offering an innovative scholarship to law school students interested in affecting change to law firm marketing. This $1000 scholarship will be awarded to the law student who demonstrates an ability to redefine the way lawyers and law firms market themselves.

Chalik & Chalik Annual Survivors Scholarship

Chalik & Chalik Law Offices is offering a scholarship aimed at those who have survived a serious medical diagnosis and are moving forward in their lives. The $1,000 scholarship is open to those attending college or law school in the U.S each fall.

The annual Survivors Scholarship asks applicants to submit a short personal essay about how their cancer or significant medical issue influenced their choice to pursue a higher education. Academic requirements are set at a current GPA of 3.0 or above. Students entering college for the first time will have to document acceptance at an accredited institution, and all applicants must be U.S. citizens or legal residents.

Yanez & Associates Family Law Scholarship Program

The Family Law Offices of Yanez & Associates is pleased to announce their annual essay scholarships. The essay contest is open to all current law students and prospective law students awaiting admission. There will be two winners:

  • First place: $2,000.00
  • Second place: $1,000.00

The goal of the scholarship is to motivate students to pursue a career in family law.
