Lawyers with Connections to UMass Law Help Portuguese Boy Stay with Family in Fall River
After a drawn-out legal battle, and with the help of two lawyers who have ties to UMass Law, Marco Moniz, a young boy from Portugal, won his status as a Lawful Permanent Resident of the United States. The two lawyers helped Marco's extended family in America remove him from the care of the Portuguese Department of Family and Protective Services in the Azores to be reunited with his grandmother and aunt in Pawtucket, RI.
