Piano recital scheduled on November 4 at UMass Dartmouth
Dr. Christina Biron will present a piano recital on Sunday, November 4, at 3 p.m. at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. The free concert, sponsored by the Cultural Affairs Committee, will be held in the College of Visual and Performing Arts Recital Hall, (room 153) with parking available in lot 8/9.
Tibetan monks perform `Sacred Music and Sacred Dance for World Healing'
The multiphonic singers of Tibet's Drepung Loseling Monastery, whose sellout shows in Carnegie Hall and the Lincoln Center earned national acclaim, will perform at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth on Thursday, November 8 at 8 p.m. in the main auditorium. Park in lots 4 and 5.
Cranberry Symposium to be held at UMass Dartmouth
A new white cranberry juice tasting will be featured at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's Third Annual Cranberry Symposium on Thursday, November 8 in the Conference Dining Room (across from the Campus Center). Park in lots 5 and 6. The symposium runs from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., and the tasting, courtesy of Ocean Spray Cranberries, starts at 1:30 p.m.

Postponed: Conference of the Islamic Council of New England at UMass Dartmouth on October 6 Due to the tragic events of September 11 in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania and to security concerns, The17th Annual Conference of the Islamic Council of New England will postpone its October 6 conference at UMass Dartmouth. The theme of the event is "Guiding Light: Defining the Future of Our Children as Muslim Youth in Western Societies." A new date has not been established.

UMass Dartmouth postpones Community Appreciation Day from September 23 to October 20 Due to the tragic events last week, University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Chancellor Jean F. MacCormack has postponed Community Appreciation Day until Saturday, October 20. The event, which was scheduled for Sunday, September 23, will coincide with the annual Homecoming Weekend.
