Cranberry Symposium to be held at UMass Dartmouth

A new white cranberry juice tasting will be featured at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's Third Annual Cranberry Symposium on Thursday, November 8 in the Conference Dining Room (across from the Campus Center). Park in lots 5 and 6. The symposium runs from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., and the tasting, courtesy of Ocean Spray Cranberries, starts at 1:30 p.m.

Park in lots 5 and 6. The symposium runs from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., and the tasting, courtesy of Ocean Spray Cranberries, starts at 1:30 p.m. 

Participants include representatives from the Cranberry Experiment Station and cranberry industry as well as interested individuals from the university and surrounding communities.

Scheduled guests will speak about the health benefits of cranberries, marketing and product development and horticulture research. Speakers include Catherine Neto, Nora Barnes, Sukalyan Sengupta, UMass Dartmouth faculty; Jere Downing, The Cranberry Institute; Joe Vinson, University of Scranton; Malcolm Lloyd, Ocean Spray Cranberries; Frank Caruso, Carolyn DeMoranville, Cranberry Experiment Station, UMass Amherst; and Jocelyn Kagan and Ryan Pinto, Center for Business Research, UMD.
