`Algebra for All,' class geared toward students in grades 7-9

UMass Dartmouth's Division of Continuing Education is offering `Algebra for All,' a course for students in grades 7-9, running from February 6 - April 24. The class, which meets on Wednesdays from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Business and Liberal Arts Building, room 218, is geared toward students who have not yet had or who are currently taking Algebra. Parking is available in lot 4.

Instructor Frank Cabral uses cutting edge technology and software to bring about a deeper understanding of many Algebra topics. The course content includes an investigation of constant rates and the idea of accumulation, and will involve solving averages through rate graphs and solving a variety of simultaneous equations.
