UMD International Film Series concludes with "Guantanamera"

UMD International Film Series concludes with "Guantanamera" The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth International Film Series concludes on Friday, April 19, with "Guantanamera," a 1998 Cuban film directed by Tomas Alea, in Spanish. The free film will be shown at 7:30 p.m. in room 153 of the College of Visual and Performing Arts Building. Parking is available in lot 8/9.

The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth International Film Series concludes on Friday, April 19, with Guantanamera, a 1998 Cuban film directed by Tomas Alea, in Spanish. Guantanamera, tells the story of a world famous diva who returns to her hometown and reunites with the man she loved many years ago. As the plot unfolds, there are many comic jabs made at Cuba’s financial and political situation. Professor Charles White will introduce the film.
