UMD College of Nursing celebrates scholarship at May 8 event

The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's College of Nursing will showcase research and other academic performance by undergraduate and graduate nursing students in an exhibition scheduled on Wednesday, May 8, from 4-7 p.m. in the Library Browsing Area. The event is free and open to the public. Parking is available in lot 13.

The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth’s College of Nursing will showcase research and other academic performance by undergraduate and graduate nursing students in an exhibition scheduled on Wednesday, May 8, from 4-7 p.m. in the Library Browsing Area. The event is free and open to the public. Parking is available in lot 13. 

Displays will include poster presentations of graduate capstone projects as well as beginning research and program development by nursing undergraduates. Judging will take place from 4:30-5:15 p.m. and students will make oral presentations of three papers from 5:15-6:30 p.m. Certificates will be awarded in each category. 

“This is a chance for us to showcase the work of our students in the College of Nursing at this university,” said Jeanne M. Leffers, assistant professor of community nursing. “Anyone interested in nursing scholarship is invited to attend.”
