The free film is the third in the university’s Spring International Film Series and will be introduced by Professor Charles White. The Last September, brings Elizabeth Bowen’s novel to life in this drama set in County Cork, Ireland, in 1920. The film’s heroine, Lois, is the 19-year-old niece of Anglo-Irish aristocrats, who is torn by her feelings for both a British army captain and Irish freedom fighter.

The College of Visual and Performing Arts, The College of Arts and Sciences, and the UMass Dartmouth Library made funding for the program possible. For more information, contact (508) 999-8285 or cwhite@umassd.edu.
