Holocaust Lecture

HOLOCAUST LECTURE DARTMOUTH - On Wednesday, October 29, 2003, the Center for Jewish Culture is sponsoring a lecture by Dr. Robert Erickson at 4 P.M. in the Library Browsing Area of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. The event is free and open to the public. Parking is available in lot #13.

DARTMOUTH - On Wednesday, October 29, 2003, the Center for Jewish Culture is sponsoring a lecture by Dr. Robert Erickson at 4 P.M. in the Library Browsing Area of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. The event is free and open to the public. Parking is available in lot #13. 

Professor Erickson is presently a Charles Revson Fellow at the Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. He is a professor of history at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington and has published several books on the Holocaust. 

One of his publications, which he edited with Susannah Heschel, entitled “Betrayal: German Churches and the Holocaust” will be the topic of his talk at the university on Wednesday afternoon. He will discuss both Protestants and Catholics religions and suggest ways in which their teachings and behavior betrayed both their own values and the Jewish victims.
